Our community has been deeply affected by the recent domestic violence tragedy in Sandy that forever changed the lives of the Overson, McClure, and Thornton families.

In the wake of this heartbreaking loss, many have asked how they can help. The D31 Foundation has established the #SandyUnited Family Support Fund to provide a secure tax deductible and trusted way for community members, businesses, churches, and organizations to support these families during this incredibly difficult time.

Purpose of This Fund

This page has been created specifically to support the families directly impacted by the recent Sandy domestic violence tragedy.

Donors may choose to:

• Contribute to the #SandyUnited Family Support Fund, allowing resources to be distributed among the affected families as needs arise.

• Donate directly to the Overson Family.

• Donate directly to the McClure Family.

• Donate directly to the Thornton Family.
   

How Funds May Be Used

Donations may help provide support for:

• Funeral and memorial expenses

• Immediate household needs

• Childcare and family support

• Counseling and mental health services

• Travel and related expenses

• Lost income and unexpected financial burdens

• Long-term support for children and family members affected by this tragedy

The D31 Foundation is committed to ensuring that funds are distributed with integrity, transparency, and care. Every donation will be directed toward supporting the Overson, McClure, and Thornton families as they navigate the difficult days, months, and years ahead.
